Quick Project: Thursday3 Selfie Mini-Album

Are you looking for a fun and quick way to put together some of your Thursday3 photos into a quick and easy mini-album? I have the perfect project for you.

A while back I ordered a bunch of 4×4 prints during a sale at Persnickety Prints. I printed out most of my Instagram pics from the spring and summer and after sorting out photos for some other projects, I was left with a handful of awesome #thursday3 pictures.

I wanted to put them together with a quick project. I used a coordinating scrapbook kit from Studio Calico to put together this album.

How to create this album in 7 basic steps:

  1. Lay out eight photos.
  2. Trim eight sheets of patterned paper (4×4 inch squares)
  3. Adhere each photo back to back with a sheet of patterned paper.
  4. Adhere acrylic numbers to patterned paper.
  5. Add strips of washi tape to the inside edge of the pages
  6. Use a hole punch to punch two holes in each page (approx 1.5 inch apart)
  7. Bind all the pages with two binder rings.

This is a great quick album to create anytime you have a bunch of photos with a single theme or from a specific event. It works well with other size photos too. I’ve made 4×6, 3×4, and 3×3 albums using the same method.

As I’m starting to build up my scrapbooking stash, I’m trying to navigate buying supplies that I will actually use and not just accumulating a bunch of product. I want to make my photos and stories the center of my projects, but of course I still want cute embellishments. Any advice so that I don’t get caught up in buying all the things?
