Hey friends,

Starting this summer, we’re trying something new around here—and I think you’re really going to like it.

Every month, we’re kicking off a fresh creative challenge built around one simple idea:
📝 Make a page about you.

That’s it. One story. One prompt. One page that helps you tell your story, your way.

These Monthly Challenges are designed to be flexible and accessible—whether you’re working in a scrapbook, art journal, Daily Pages notebook, digital format, or something else entirely. No rules, no wrong answers, and definitely no pressure to make it look any certain way.

You can use photos or not. Write a list or journal it out. Get messy with paint, go minimal with paper scraps, or just write straight onto the page. This is your creative space, and we’re just here to cheer you on.

💭 Why We’re Moving to Monthly

If you’ve been with us for a while, you know we’ve done weekly challenges for the past few years. And while those were great for momentum and getting a bunch of stuff done, they could also feel like… a lot. Especially if you missed a few and started feeling behind (which, by the way, you never were).

This new monthly format will give us a little more breathing room—more time to dive into the prompt, more time to experiment, and more time to appreciate the awesome things we’re all making. We’re not rushing through the work. We’re making space to honor it.

And the best part? It’s still a challenge, it’s still community-powered, and it’s still here to help you tell your story, one page at a time.

Here’s how it works:

Every month, we’ll share:

• A brand-new prompt on the blog (with suggestions and ideas to get you started)—drops on the first Wednesday of the month.
• A community thread where you can share your progress or finished page—also drops on the first Wednesday of the month.
• Additional mid-month inspiration from the ALP team and community check-ins.
• A spotlight feature to show off a rad page from the community.
• And a wrap-up to celebrate all the different ways we told this story.

These challenges are made to:

• Help you build a creative habit you actually want to stick with
• Give you a jumping-off point when you don’t know what to make
• Remind you that your voice, your stories, and your creativity matter
