Feminist Scrapbook School Spring 2024 Orientation

We’re gearing up for another Semester of Feminist Scrapbook School!

Orientation starts on Tuesday, January 16th and concludes on Saturday, January 20th. All live sessions will be held in the Clubhouse. We’ll have a full classroom available with all the downloads, recordings, and other resources available on Tuesday — so no worries if you can’t make an event. It’ll be in the classroom when you have time.

Schedule of Events

Tuesday, January 16

• Start of Day: Pre-recorded Lesson Release
  • First set of video lessons made available for students to watch at their leisure.
• 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM ET: Study Hall
  • A dedicated time for students to work on their projects, review lessons, and collaborate.
• Evening (7:00 PM ET): Orientation Welcome and Overview
  • Introduction to the school, semester overview, and expectations for the week.

Wednesday, January 17

• Start of Day: Pre-recorded Lesson Release
• Afternoon (2:00 PM – 2:50 PM ET): Community Session #1
  • Interactive session for students to connect and share experiences.
• 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET: Office Hours
  • A session where students can ask questions directly to instructors and receive personalized guidance.

Thursday, January 18

• Start of Day: Pre-recorded Lesson Release
• Afternoon (2:30 PM – 4 PM ET): Live Semester Planning Session
  • Focused session on setting goals and discussing projects for the semester.
• Evening (7:00 PM – 7:50 PM ET): Community Session #2
  • Continued opportunity for community building and group discussions.

Friday, January 19

• Start of Day: Pre-Recorded Lesson Release
• 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM ET: Study Hall
  • Another session for collaborative work and lesson review.
• 8:00 PM – Late: Kristin’s Pajama Party Hangout
  • An informal and fun hangout session to relax, chat, and bond.

Saturday, January 20

• Start of Day: Pre-recorded Lesson Release
• Mid-Day (Noon – 12:30 PM ET): Review and Reflection Session
  • A chance to look back at the week, share insights, and discuss learnings.
• 1-2:30: Live Semester Planning Session
  • Focused session on setting goals and discussing projects for the semester
• 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM ET: Carrie’s Project Time
  • An extended session for working on individual projects with Carrie’s guidance.
