Awesome Lady Spotlight: Caroline

Hello and welcome to another Awesome Lady Spotlight – a fun opportunity to learn more about our ALP members and take a look into their creative process and some things they are currently working on. We hope to make this a regular column so do please send me a message if you would like to participate @shannanmm – I hope everyone will!
Today we have the awesome (and fellow Aussie) Caroline – @nightwolf at the ALP and @nightwolf_scraps on Instagram. She also has a blog: http://nightwolfsden.com/scraps/
Where are you from Caroline?
Tasmania, Australia
What kinds of crafts do you do?
I’m mainly a paper crafter (cards & memory keeping) but I also do some cross stitch drawing, beading and recently I’ve gotten into making things with polymer clay
Have you always been crafty?
Mum was a teacher and always encouraged both my brother & I to be crafty. I took to it more than my brother and was often found drawing or doing cross stitch with Mum. As I grew older, it was scrapbooks that I’d glue stuff in and make collages.
What craft supplies could you not live without?
At this point in time I’d say a good black pen (currently it’s a Pilot G-2 0.38), washi tape, my Cutterbee scissors and some adhesive. I’d probably also add Archival ink in black as I’ve been trying to add more stamping to my projects.
Tell us about your craft space?
I’m currently between three spaces. My dining room, where my laptop & printer live. My bedroom, where I have set up a temporary space to allow me to leave current projects out. Finally I am in the process of setting up (or should I say re-setting up) a dedicated craft room. We’re lucky enough to have a room off the back of our garage that I’m reconverting.

Tell us about a recent page or project you have made?
Over the last 12 months or so I’ve really enjoyed using the Heidi Swapp method of memory planning and her Stop the Blur classes. I’m finding it much easier to keep up with than my previous Project Life style albums.

I’m also obsessing over these mini these ring binders I kept seeing on Instagram & TikTok. I bought myself one and I’ve been making lots of these tiny pages and now my 12 year old daughter is making them too.

Daily Pages is also my creative outlet. I’ve changed it up a little for 2022 and am using up my stash of 4×6 Project Life cards.

What do you love about the Awesome Ladies Project?
The community. They are super supportive and there is usually someone around if you want a chat. It’s such an amazing, diverse group of craft ladies.
And finally, tell us what you are currently doing (using Kristin’s Currently Card)
https://theawesomeladiesproject.com/currently/
Watching: it’s football (AFL) season here so that is on nearly every weekend.
Reading: The Witches of the Forest’s Guide to Natural Magick by Lindsay Squire
Listening: Spotify mostly. Various playlists of mine or the girls playing the Hamilton soundtrack from their room.
Making: Daily pages, mini binder pages and my Book of Me pages
Feeling: Tired. The kids are on Easter/End of Term holidays and they exhaust me being home all the time. We’ve been out and about doing lots of things this time.
Planning: what’s happening in my life during May.
Loving: that it is getting cold enough now to need the fire. I love crafting by the fire. An it’s hot chocolate with marshmallow season.
Thank you so much Caroline! Loved getting this peek into your creative life.

How exciting! A brand new craft space in the works. That’s great. I like having a dedicated space for crafting.
