A 100 Days of De-Cluttering Challenge is Here

Join us for 100 Days of De-Cluttering!

A few weeks back, a couple of the ladies were talking about what they were planning for the 100 Day Project. Someone mentioned the idea for 100 Days of De-Cluttering, and soon everyone was talking about what an amazing project that would be. We’ve collected some ideas as a group as to what might be most helpful along this 100-day journey, and I’ll share them below.

This will be a fun way to get through some spring cleaning and organizing.

How to Participate

The 100 Day Project starts on Sunday, February 13th — so that’s when we’ll start counting.

But, like everything here at the Awesome Ladies Project — make this challenge work for you. If you want to start on Monday, fab. If you want to use our suggestions/tools, awesome — it not, also awesome. Whatever parameters you want to set for yourself, we are here to cheer you on.

This is a challenge to help you feel more comfortable in your space.

What counts?

What counts as ‘1 of 100 days of de-cluttering’? Anything you want.

There are no hard and steadfast rules for this because we are all different people, living in different spaces, who need to get different things done in order to de-clutter. So, I don’t want you to feel like you ‘have’ to do any specific thing(s) in order to get your checkbox for the day. You are the arbiter of the rules here.

You get to decide what works for you on a daily basis.

Here are some ideas

I always want to be able to set you up for success, so here are some ideas that you can work with each day (please feel free to add more of your own). This way you’re not just starting from a blank slate.

  • Empty/sort a container
  • Spend 5-10 minutes de-cluttering a specific area
  • Take out the trash/throw away things
  • Sort 5/10/15 items
  • Organize a drawer/shelf
  • Clean off a surface
  • Fix something that needed mending

This spreadsheet breaks down the 100 Days of De-Cluttering and gives each of the 14 weeks a theme. Please use this theme however you see fit. If you want to go with it every day of the week, awesome. Also, if you want to use it some days and not others, also awesome. And, if you want to go your own way everyday, again, totally awesome.

How to use the spreadsheet: Press File & Make a Copy. Rename it [Your Name] 100 Days of De-Cluttering. Mark off a box each day that you do a de-cluttering activity.
