You can also make this mini-album with standard printer paper, but it will be significantly more flimsy.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Two” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12964″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Trim the sheet of cardstock down into three equal pieces, each 3.5″ by 11″. You’ll have a tiny strip left over, you can just toss that strip. We won’t be using it in this project.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Three” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12971″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Next, take a sheet of the trimmed cardstock, and fold it in half width-wise. You’ll end up with a sheet that’s 3.5″ by 5.5″ when folded. Repeat for the other two sheets of trimmed cardstock.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Four” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12965″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]After you fold each sheet. Stack the three sheets on top of one another so that the seams directly overlap.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Five” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12968″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Now that we’ve crafted the bones of the album; next we’ll be binding the pages together. Start by opening up to the first set of pages in the booklet.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Six
” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12969″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Rip off a strip of washi tape, slightly longer than the 3.5″ width of the booklet. Press down the washi tape along the seam. Repeat for each page spread.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Seven” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12974″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Trim off the excess washi tape from the top and bottom of the album pages.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Step Eight” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_single_image image=”12951″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Add some washi tape to the front and back cover along the left side of the album, to create a faux binding look. You’re now totally ready to decorate the cover and the inside pages of your new DIY mini-album.[/vc_column_text][vc_cta h2=”Further Inspiration: ” h4=”Check out how I turned this DIY mini-album into a shoe selfie scrapbook. ” add_button=”bottom” btn_title=”rukristin’s Shoe Selfie Scrapbook” btn_align=”center” btn_link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwp.me%2Fp5PHxL-3fh||target:%20_blank|”]Visit the rukristin: Feminist Scrapbooker blog to check out the way that I styled the front cover and inside pages of this simple single-sheet DIY mini-album.[/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]
