Hi, everyone! Today, I’m sharing my very first Travelers Notebook project with you. For my team project this month, I decided to use the ALP Story Journal from the shop to create a few mini page spreads about myself. When I first started this project, I had no idea what to write about myself. Isn’t it hard scrapbooking about ourselves?
Sometimes, the truth hurts, but I am all for being honest. Therefore, I include the good and bad. I didn’t want to write all good traits about myself. I wanted to include the negative traits as well so I asked my two closest friends to list things about me that come to mind instantly. They texted me with their list and And yet, they still had nothing bad to say about me. I like to think I’m a good person, both inside and out. I treat people well, help them whenever I can and I never stab anyone in the back.
This page has a good amount of writing. I tried breaking the journaling down into two parts. One part of the journal entry included traits taken from my Zodiac sign. I am a Virgo and all of the traits are pretty accurate. The other part of the spread was written from my friend’s point of view. I matted the photo using the graphic design paper available in the shop! Then I tucked the tag behind the photo.
I kept this page pretty simple since the title says it all. This is actually the first page from the journal notebook.
As an afterthought, I decided to include a fun spread about my bestie. We’ve been friends for over twenty years! Mischelle is my rock. I love how we can go months without seeing each other and it’s like we haven’t missed a beat when we’re together.
Life gets busy and we don’t always get to see each other as much as we’d like so when we are together, we are sharing stories, gossiping and catching each other up on what’s happening in our lives. Most of the time, we have nothing exciting to share. LOL, same old shit, different day. I created a spread on how she sees me.
I used a few of the stamps available in the shop to fill in the white space on the journal page.
If you’re looking for a few other ways to journal about yourself, try asking your family to point out your quirks and flaws. I am not ready to share my flaws yet, but I will do it soon.
