keeping up with the Awesome Ladies Community

What’s the Best Way For You to Keep Up with the Awesome Ladies Community?

One of our most frequently asked questions is What’s the best way to keep up with the Awesome Ladies Community?

We’ve worked hard to make the Awesome Ladies Community a place where you can be involved on your own terms. We’re here for you whether you want to hang out with us every day or even just a few times a year. To that end, there are a few different ways to keep up with the Awesome Ladies, you can pick and choose the ones that work best for you and the way the Awesome Ladies Project fits into your life.

#1. The Awesome Ladies Project Homepage.

The best way to participate on a regular basis is using through the Awesome Ladies Homepage. This is an excellent page to bookmark, it’s the main directory to the site. From here you can check out this month’s workshop, visit the newsfeed, visit the forums, view the gallery, and check out the latest blog posts.

If you’re planning on checking in every couple of days and participating in the community, bookmarking and returning to the Awesome Ladies homepage is a great way to keep up with the ALP.

#2. The Newsfeed

The newsfeed is a super cool feature on the site (in my opinion its the best). It serves two functions: first, it gives you space at the top of the page to leave a status message that appears on your profile page, or upload a picture/audio/video that will go in your gallery. This will then pop up on other member’s newsfeeds, as well as all of the latest activity all over the site, including forum posts, gallery uploads, workshop discussions, etc.

You can get to the newsfeed by clicking on the Newsfeed button in the main menu as shown below, or by visiting theawesomeladiesproject.com/activity

If you want to keep up to date with everything that’s going on in the community, bookmarking and returning to the ALP Newsfeed is a great way to keep up with the ALP and ensure that you’re not going to miss any of the conversation.

#3. Awesome Ladies Groups

We do have a Facebook page, but we do not have a separate Facebook group. All of our groups are inside the Awesome Ladies Project website – http://theawesomeladiesproject.com/groups/

There are groups for (most) each project/workshop. Some of these groups are open to the public, like any of our free projects (100 Days of All About Me, Thursday3, Currently), and others are private (Each of our workshops has a private group). Each group has a forum and gallery inside it to share and draw inspiration.

If you want to keep up with a specific project or workshop, bookmarking and returning to a specific Awesome Ladies Group is a great way to make sure you don’t miss any of your favorite content.

#4. Community Newsletter

The Awesome Ladies Community Newsletter goes out weekly with community updates, information about upcoming events, and more. If you haven’t signed up for that list (or you’re not sure), you can visit http://theawesomeladiesproject.com/email/ and fill out that form.

If you want to check in with the Awesome Ladies every once in a while when you have the time, or a project piques your interest, signing up for the Awesome Ladies Community newsletter is a great way to make sure you don’t miss any of our cool events.

#5. Social Media Hashtags

Another great way to participate is through our hashtags on instagram – #awesomeladiesproject, #feministscrapbooking, and project related hashtags like #100daysofallaboutme and #thursday3. We have an active and supportive instagram community that love seeing new faces and fun projects.
